Paving is an investment you make into your property. And that is why you should get as much wear out of it for as long as possible.

To achieve this, you must properly maintain all brick, cobble, and flagstone paving.

A basic maintenance routine is good enough for most paving installations.

Sweep the paving as often as possible.

Wash the paving with water and a stiff broom from time to time. It keeps the surface free of general dirt. You do not need to use any chemicals.

Be careful not to damage the paving during this cleaning process. If you are using a pressure washer do not hold it too close to the paving. Avoid aiming directly at the grouting as it will wash out. A stiff broom helps loosen dirt on the surface, but scrubbing too hard will damage the paver.

Deal with stains as they happen. It is not possible to remove motor oil stains. Regardless of what anyone tells you.

Avoid an infestation of insects. Ants can be a nuisance, so you need to treat this problem with an appropriate product. Enquire at your local hardware store.

Be sure to remove weeds before it becomes a problem. Weeds will appear in the paving. It is more likely to happen if the soil was not treated before the installation. Furthermore the older the installation, the more prone it becomes to weeds.

The cleaning and sealing chemicals we use are manufactured for this specific purpose.

These products are not available in retail stores.

We advise property owners to get their paving professionally cleaned at least every two years. Sealing the paving makes regular maintenance much easier.

Over time paving breaks, or sinks.

This is a common occurrence after the paving has been disturbed. For example, after heavy rains, or plumbing repairs.

When this happens you need a professional paving contractor to get the repair job done.
